Margot Robbie and her husband Tom Ackerley have a notoriously chill relationship, with limited social media presence, few red carpet appearances, and fewer public comments about each other. Basically, they’re giving the complete opposite of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker. Margot—right on the brink of being on the A++ list—gets cast in Suite Française, which Tom happens to be working on as the third assistant to the director. Margot immediately becomes tight with the crew—to the point where they all decide to start living together. As she later put it to The Guardian, “We were like, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if we all lived together?’ Someone said, ‘But you don’t live in London,’ and I said, ‘I don’t live anywhere. I’ll move.’ Three days later, we signed a lease in Clapham.”
Around this time, her friendship with Tom pivoted to ~romance~.

Margot and Tom cofound LuckyChap Entertainment alongside their friends Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr. And not only is the company responsible for Margot’s 2017 film I, Tonya, but they also produced Barbie. Meaning, yes, Margot *and* Tom worked on the movie together.

“The most helpful thing I’ve learned from other couples in this industry is that you don’t go more than three weeks without seeing each other,” she says. “Being in a long-distance relationship can be really hard when you don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. It can mess with your head, so the three-week rule is key.”
