Margot Robbie Dons Polka Dots in Balmain, Taraji P. Henson Goes Green in Alexandre Vauthier and More Stars at Palm Springs Film Festival Awards 2024

The Palm Springs International Film Awards on Thursday in Palm Springs, Calif., gathered some of the most buzzed-about Hollywood stars for an evening of sharing and celebrating.

This year’s event bestowed awards upon Danielle Brooks, Carey Mulligan and director Greta Gerwig. Among the several stars in attendance was Margot Robbie, who made a nod to “Barbie” in a pink Balmain minidress with rose details and black polka dots.

Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish aligned with her usual edgy aesthetic in a Purgatory quilted hoodie accessorized with black loafers and a Playboy Bunny purse. Eilish attended the awards with her brother and frequent music collaborator Finneas. They received the Chairman’s Award for their single “‘What Was I Made For?” from the “Barbie” movie.

Taraji P. Henson

Taraji P. Henson shined in an olive green crystal-embroidered Alexandre Vauthier gown with a high center slit, styled by duo Wayman and Micah. Henson paired the dress with Malone Souliers heeled mules and Driels Criel jewelry. The actress attended the awards to support her “The Color Purple” costar Danielle Brooks, who received the Spotlight Award.

Carey Mulligan and Meryl Streep

Carey Mulligan and Meryl Streep arrived hand in hand at the event, with Mulligan embracing corsetry in a black Balmain dress with a blue bra-insert and Streep opting for a black Balenciaga cape gown with Sidney Garber jewelry. Mulligan was awarded the International Star Award for her role in the film “Maestro,” which is about composer Leonard Bernstein.

Emma Stone

Emma Stone wore a layered custom Louis Vuitton suit ensemble, which included black wide-leg trousers and a shimmering cardigan. Stone, who was bestowed the Desert Palm Achievement Award for her role in “Poor Things,” has been a Louis Vuitton brand ambassador since 2017.

America Ferrera

America Ferrera donned a black Lela Rose gown with a shining floral brooch detail and gold buttons. From the designer’s resort 2024 collection, Ferrera collaborated with stylist Karla Welch on her minimalist statement outfit.
