Margaux & Schumacher Collaborate on a Fall Collection Based on Historic Prints

After the success of their summer collaboration, New York City's most comfortable shoe brand, Margaux, has teamed up once more with the legendary textile house Schumacher to create five new must-have fall shoes. For this collaboration, the design duo dug into Schumacher's extensive and historic archives, a rich treat as Schumacher has outfitted everything from the White House and I Love Lucy sets, to the The Met Opera House's curtains, and even Martin Scorsese's 1993 film Age of Innocence since its founding in 1889. The Schumacher archives have been a major touchpoint in the relationship between the two brands, as they symbolize the way both designers reinterpret timeless styles to suit modern needs. Plus, digging through archives is always a fun way to spend an afternoon.

The collaboration is made up of five styles, including 2 new ventures for Margaux. The first is a beautiful Mary Jane silhouette created with Schumacher's Josephine fabric—an ochre satin material developed in the late 19th century. The second is a new take on an old favorite, an embroidered Demi flat, created from Schumacher's "Lisbeth" design. Another highlight is one of Schumacher's most popular patterns, the Pyne Hollyhock, will be featured on Margaux's staple heel, The Uptown Sandal.
