Maren Morris Has a Cheeky Response to Tucker Carlson's Fox News Exit

Maren Morris officially had the last laugh.

The 33-year-old country singer celebrated longtime Fox News host Tucker Carlson's departure from the network with a punny one-liner.

"Happy Monday, MotherTucker," she shared via Instagram Story on Monday, alongside a screenshot of the former broadcaster's late night talk show that featured a photo of herself labeled as a "lunatic country music person."

She didn't stop there and, instead, continued to follow up with two more memes also shared via her Instagram Story. One read, "the only tuckers allowed are the drag queens," and the second featured a play on the popular HBO drama Succession.

This isn't the first time the "Circles Around This Town" crooner used the former TV show host's words against him.

Shortly after the infamous Sept. 2022 episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight initially aired, Morris used the opportunity to raise well over $150,000 in donations split between the Trans Lifeline and the GLAAD Transgender Media Program. She even used the controversial broadcaster's description as inspiration for her Halloween costume.

For those that need a recap of the Morris-Carlson drama, it all started last fall after the controversial media personality called Morris both a "lunatic" and a "fake country music singer" on air with Brittany Aldean following controversial comments Aldean made regarding transgender rights.

Aldean, who is the wife of fellow country singer Jason Aldean, received her fair share of backlash from Morris (as well as other country music stars and celebrities) who disagreed with her transphobic remarks on social media. Subsequently, Morris and Aldean's Twitter exchange went viral and later became a segment for Carlson's show.
