Marchesa will no longer be doing a winter/spring 2018 runway show at New York Fashion Week, Page Six is reporting. The brand, co-helmed by Harvey Weinstein's soon-to-be ex-wife Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, had been slotted for February 14th.

Sources tell Page Six that the show will be a digital presentation instead. A spokesperson for the brand told the outlet officially that “Marchesa is looking forward to presenting their Fall ’18 collection in an updated format this season.”

The runway show did almost happen: a production company, Navia Vision, was tapped, and Marchesa and Navia Vision “were gung-ho...but as they got closer, she choked," a source told the outlet.

“Georgina couldn’t go through with it. She was too scared.”

Chapman has been largely absent from the spotlight since The New York Times and The New Yorker broke news of Weinstein's alleged rampant sexual misconduct. On October 10th, Chapman released a statement to People, announcing she was separating from her husband. “My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time," she told the outlet at the time.
