It really is the Stamaissance!

Fashion month may have come to a close, but the Stamaissance (as in, model Jessica Stam's certified comeback) is far from over: Ten years after the brand retired the style, Marc Jacobs is bringing back its iconic Stam Bag.

First introduced in the Fall 2005 collection and named after Jessica Stam, the quilted top-handle style, with its metal chain coin-purse closure, became a defining item of a specific genre of mid- to late-aughts style. It was discontinued in 2013, but has remained beloved by many who grew up on fashion Tumblr (i.e. all of Team Fashionista, basically) and popular on resale. So, the brand is rereleasing it as part of its (M)Archives collection in two sizes: small and classic, retailer for $995 and $1,495, respectively.

And who better to reintroduce the Stam bag than its namesake? The model — who has been quite literally booked and busy this past season — leads the campaign, which also stars fellow aughts icons Paris Hilton, Selma Blair, Ashanti and Ashlee Simpson, photographed by Jacobs favorite Harley Weir and styled by Alastair McKimm.

Marc Jacobs reminds us it's always been Jessica Stam's world. You can buy your 2023 Stam bag online at marcjacobs.com and at Marc Jacobs stores. See the full campaign below.
