How Many Grams Are In One Stick of Butter?
We all know when we open a new stick of butter there are markings for 8 tablespoons, but if you're cooking from a recipe that uses metric measurements and calls for ingredients by weight it's helpful to know how many grams are in a stick of butter.
Butter Measurements
When looking at a standard stick of butter:
1 stick or 1/2 cup butter is equal to 4 ounces, or 113 grams.
Measuring butter, and most all ingredients for that matter, is always most accurately done using a kitchen scale.
