How many Grammys does Beyoncé have? (Hint: it's more than we'll ever have)

Update, January 23rd, 2020, 5:30 p.m. ET: The 62nd annual Grammy Awards will air on Sunday, January 26th on CBS at 5:00 p.m. PT. The 2020 Grammy Awards will be hosted by Alicia Keys at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. Beyoncé has won 23 Grammys over the years and earned 70 nominations. She’s up for four 2020 Grammys: Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media for “Spirit,” Best Pop Vocal Album for The Lion King: The Gift, and Best Music Film for Homecoming. If Queen Bey won all four awards, she would be tied with Alison Krauss for the most Grammys ever won by a female artist.

It’s pretty much common knowledge that Beyoncé rules the music industry and, quite possibly, the world. Not only do her songs serve as hymns for the millennial generation, but we literally worship Beyoncé as a divine being. We’re honestly not sure if she’s human. Queen Bey was nominated for yet another Grammy this year alongside husband Jay-Z in the category Best Rap/Sung Performance for “Family Feud.” If they win, Bey will add another Grammy to her collection of 22.

Beyoncé’s first Grammy win was back in 2001 at the 43rd annual Grammys. She and the girls of Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, were nominated five times. The group ultimately won two Grammys for “Say My Name” — still a top song on our Spotify playlist, btw.

After another Grammy win with Destiny’s Child in 2002, Beyoncé took home five Grammys of her own in 2004. She was celebrated for her songs “Dangerously in Love,” “The Closer I Get To You,” and “Crazy in Love” off her debut solo album Dangerously In Love.

Beyoncé then picked up another Grammy in 2006 for “So Amazing,” and another in 2007 for her album B’Day. When I Am…Sasha Fierce dropped, Bey walked out of the 2010 Grammys with six statues, as we all predicted she would.

In 2013, the Queen won a Grammy for “Love On Top” and then in 2016, her self-titled album Beyoncé earned her another three. Her last two Grammy wins were for Lemonade at last year’s 59th annual Grammy Awards.

And these are just her wins — Beyoncé has been nominated for 63 Grammys in her almost 20-year career. So deserved.

We’ll be bowing down to her and Jay at the 2018 Grammy Awards this Sunday, January 28th. In the name of Blue Ivy, we hope they win.
