So many brands are pranking us with fake products for April Fools' Day—here's the best of them
Ah, April Fools’ Day. It’s the one day of the year when it’s socially acceptable to literally trick our friends and loved ones. It’s also the day when we can’t help but be skeptical of everything we see on social media—especially when companies roll out new “product.” And so far, April Fools’ Day 2019 has delivered. From McDonald’s to Petco, we’re seriously impressed by the brands that have shared creative (and sometimes legitimately genius) gags today. Here are some of the best ones we’ve found.
Huda Beauty
Huda and Mona Kattan of Huda Beauty are constantly releasing innovative and inclusive new products, so when the company launched its “sub-brand” PAWfect Beauty, we almost fell for it. Huda Kattan herself unveiled the Coco Lash (named after the Huda Beauty office dog, Coco) in an Instagram video, complete with barking.

Dunkin’
The donut and coffee chain made a video announcing something called a “Super Dough Holder,” which to be honest, we almost wish was real.
Shake Shack
Shake Shack’s fake line of bottled ShackSauce was definitely too good to be true. It’s too bad because we would actually use a travel-size bottle of this coveted condiment.

Petco
The pet store introduced a “Furever Weddings” service to help your pets get married. From formal wear to “fur facials,” Petco’s pet wedding planning prank was both hilarious and adorable.
Auntie Anne’s
The pretzel company made the unexpected announcement today that it would be adding hot yoga studios to its existing locations. Auntie Anne’s wins points for pulling off one of the more elaborate pranks we’ve seen today. The brand launched an entire web page devoted to its new hot yoga classes, which included names of instructors like “Goldie Brown” and a line of yoga mats that we honestly wish was real. You can, however, buy pretzel-themed shirts and leggings at the company’s Threadless shop.

ThirdLove
The underwear brand released a “24/7 Shimmer Bra” for April Fools’ Day, which is apparently encrusted with Swarovski crystals, rubies, and diamonds. Ultimately, the $1 million price tag tipped us off to the joke.

Goldfish
“Individually Wrapped Goldfish Crackers” sounds like a special kind of torture, so props to the snack that smiles back for a solid April Fools’ Day prank.

Tecovas
Austin-based Western wear brand Tecovas had us rolling on the floor with their new Rolando and Rolanda boots.
