'Manifest' Fans Are 100% Convinced Season 4 Will Be Announced This Weekend

As fans grow more and more vocal about resurrecting Manifest for a fourth season, the evidence that their wish will be granted continues to pile up.

Immediately after NBC canceled Manifest this summer, viewers began signing petitions, driving up Netflix viewership numbers for the series and voicing their support for the continuation of the drama on another platform. Now, it looks like the #SaveManifest movement's efforts have paid off — not only are fans pretty confident that the show will come back, but some are even predicting they know exactly when the announcement about season 4 will be made.

So, when is this magic date? This Saturday, August 28, or what some fans call "828 day." Saturday's date, of course, corresponds with Flight 828 on the show, which is what the entire series has been based around so far.

Of course, there's no guarantee that fans are right about this, since neither Netflix nor NBC have made any announcements confirming Manifest's return. But while we don't like to jump the gun, we think there's a very good chance fans are onto something.

Just looking at the clues tells us that something is definitely cooking up behind the scenes. After all, just last week, we reported that show creator Jeff Rake was back in New York City, which happens to be the home of NBC headquarters and where much of the show was filmed.

Then, on August 18, Deadline reported that Warner Bros. TV was in midst of negotiations with the cast and writers about potentially doing a season 4. Meanwhile, Netflix is apparently inching closer and closer to striking a deal with Warner Bros. TV over housing season 4 on the streaming platform. What's more, recently Netflix dropped season 3 of the popular series without any warning.

In other words, things are looking up for the #SaveManifest crew! As for 828 day, we do think it's a good idea to keep an eye out for any special announcements this weekend. After all, it would be an apt time to drop the exciting renewal news.
