He won $100, an his Minecraft-themed design is now displayed along the highway.

“I’m just surprised that I won. It’s just cool that I can get my creations up there, you know, where everyone can see,” Lorenzo, a sophomore, said.

“It’s also even better to know that, you know, out of all of Lancaster County, that he was one of the the students who got to get picked for this,” Courtney Hauer, a teacher at Manheim Township, added. “And I know he was really excited and very much in disbelief about it. He’s like, wait, I won. And I was like, Yes, of course.”

The school received $1,000 as well, and they plan to use the money to promote safe driving on campus.

The billboard will be up through May 20.
