Mandy Moore Is Team Miguel and Hopes ‘This Is Us’ Fans Can Now Be, Too

Fact: We love the Pearson family. But Mandy Moore hopes fans will refrain from directing hatred toward one particular member of the extended family after watching last night’s episode of This Is Us.
Moore (Rebecca), Sterling K. Brown (Randall) and Susan Kelechi Watson (Beth) appeared on the This Is Us aftershow to discuss the major Miguel bombshell that dropped in episode six of the hit NBC series. The episode concluded with Rebecca receiving a Facebook message from her late husband’s best friend, Miguel (Jon Huertas), asking how she’s been for the past eight years.
Sure, we already knew they’d eventually end up together, but it also means that Rebecca was single for at least eight years after Jack’s (Milo Ventimiglia) death, and Moore believes it could be a turning point for Miguel haters.
She said, “I think that’s going to come as a complete shock. It is a real revelation. Miguel did not swoop in either before Jack’s death or right after. This is ten years removed from his passing, and the feelers are just sort of being put out there.” Just let that sink in.
We’ll never let go, Jack.
