In case you missed it, Mandy Moore is kind of a fitness badass.

In March, during her break from filming This Is Us, she climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro along with her fiancé Taylor Goldsmith. “It was the most incredibly empowering experience," she tells Women's Health. "After you climb a mountain, you really feel as if you can accomplish anything.”

And even when she's not conquering 19,341 foot peaks, fitness is an important part of Mandy's routine. “When I break a sweat, I feel like I’ve done something good with my day," she says. "I love getting outside and hiking around Los Angeles and going to Rise Nation, a climbing-based cardio class. Exercise really helps me if I’m feeling blue.”

Rise Nation, ICYMI, is a fitness studio in L.A., spearheaded by personal trainer Jason Walsh. He starts all of his clients (including celebs like Mandy, Alison Brie and Jennifer Aniston) with movement screening, which includes squats, hurdle steps, lunges, and more basics to evaluate how the muscles are working and avoid any risk of injury. “I want to see how you move, and if there are any imbalances in the body,” Walsh told Women's Health in a previous interview.

Most of his clients come to the studio four days a week, with a rest day on Wednesdays, and they do everything from sled pushes, to Bulgarian split squats, to pullups. He also loves using the VersaClimber for a cardio finisher. (Check out this exclusive total-body workout Walsh created for Women's Health.)

One things is for sure, these workouts seem to be working for Mandy. “I’m my most powerful when I’m taking care of myself," she says. "Working out, eating healthy, sleeping well, and finding balance are all so important.”

And here’s some more about Mandy, her routine, and the products she swears by:

1. She didn't wear makeup on the trail.

“I just wanted to embrace being with my closest friends and fiancé. I did bring a toothbrush, deodorant, and Garnier’s micellar wipes…they were so clutch since I didn’t shower for the week!”

2. She's trying to be more green.

“I’m working on a ‘Rinse, Recycle, Repeat’ campaign with Garnier to educate people on the importance of properly recycling their empty beauty products and keeping them out of landfills.”

3. She always carries this item in her bag.

“This travel-size rose-water face mist is so easy to carry around. I spritz it over my makeup whenever my skin needs a quick refresh. For an extra cooling treat, I’ll store it in the fridge.”

4. She gets blemishes, too!

Clé de Peau’s concealer is the best. It’s multipurpose, so it covers blemishes and undereye circles.”

5. She's diligent about taking care of her skin.

“I always remove my makeup and wash my face before bed. For daytime, I never skip sunscreen. My favorite is Supergoop’s Unseen. It’s totally clear and works great as a makeup primer too.”
