Mandy Moore shared the sweetest message for her eldest son, August "Gus," on his second birthday.

The actress, 38, took to Instagram to honor her eldest of two toddlers, sharing a carousel of photos from his birthday extravaganza alongside a sweet note that she penned just for him.

"While we were home, we had an early Birthday bash with friends and family for Goosey. 2 years with the sweetest, goofiest guy has absolutely flown by. We’re the luckiest folks around to be in your orbit, Gus Goldsmith," she wrote in the caption.

"Also, this cake by @danielle_keene was a showstopper!! 🎂 Oh and anyone that says Ozzie looks like me (or Taylor) hasn’t met my father-in-law 😂," she quipped.

Another snap in the slideshow included Moore and Goldsmith's second child, Ozzie, whom the couple welcomed in Oct. 2022, along with her father-in-law, Lenny, as evidenced in the caption–and she sure was right! They do look a lot alike.

Other photos in the carousel featured adorable candid snaps of Gus while he enjoyed his day in the park surrounded by friends and family!

Many celebrity friends took to the comments to wish Gus a happy birthday, including Ashley Tisdale, who wrote, "Happy birthday Gus!"

Moore's former This Is Us co-star, Chrissy Metz, also chimed in, writing, "Happy Birthday, Gus! 🎉🎂🌟."

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Moore opened up about raising two children under the age of two years old.

"You wake up with endless gratitude every day, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it is hard work. And the lack of sleep is something that is a constant and makes everything feel all the more challenging," she revealed.

"But, I think, it's just having grace for ourselves as parents and as humans and recognizing that each day is going to present its own challenges, but its own immense joy as well," Moore concluded.

Happy birthday, Gus!
