Kentucky native Josh Nalley will appear in next week's episode of 'CSI: Vegas.'

This TikToker got the big break of his life—or should we say death—after landing a role on CSI: Vegas as a result of his impressive playing dead skills.

Kentucky native Josh Nalley will have a guest spot in next week's episode of the crime drama series as a result of his viral TikTok videos, where he has pretended to be a corpse every day since October 2021.

"I got an email from CBS that said they'd seen me on TikTok and wanted to offer me the part," Nalley, 42, stated to the Courier Journal, adding, "At first I didn't believe it, but they flew me out to California. It turned out that Mario Van Peebles was the director for that episode so besides getting cast in the show, I also got to meet him, which was great."

Nalley—who works as a restaurant manager in Elizabethtown, KY—likely didn't have many lines to memorize for the gig, considering he plays a corpse laying in a body bag. But his dream role was a long time in the making, considering he began this venture about a year ago.

The mission began when Nalley said he was looking to gain "a little bit of virality," per the Washington Post. To achieve his goal, he posted videos of himself playing dead for over 300 days, telling his followers that he would be doing so until he was "cast in a movie or TV show as an un-alive body."

'I figured that was the easiest way I could actually get onto a TV show or movie, you know, without actually having to audition or move out of Kentucky," he told the outlet, noting that "laziness" might have had something to do with it.

He also joked that he no longer has to be afraid of dying and instead can "face death and not have to worry about it because, you know, I've seen myself dead so many times."

And Nalley seems to have nailed the role, with showrunner Jason Tracey telling Entertainment Weekly that he is a "pro at this death thing."

"Rarely do we find an actor as well prepared to play a corpse as Josh," he continued. "It was a pleasure watching him work."
