Man Soda Blasts Art Deco Waterfall Dresser to Bring it Back to Life
Have you ever thought about using the soda blasting method? It's a way to clean furniture and other items that uses baking soda particles blasted onto a surface with compressed air. It’s kind of like power-washing, but instead of water, it uses tiny baking soda particles. It's super handy because it’s gentle enough to remove dirt, paint, or rust without damaging the surface underneath. People use soda blasting for all sorts of things, like cleaning cars, boats, buildings, and other goodies. It’s like giving whatever you’re cleaning a really good, thorough scrub, but with the power of a machine and the gentleness of baking soda. So of course you could use it for flipping furniture.
YouTuber Milo's Restoration took an old art deco waterfall dresser and used the soda blasting technique all over it to bring it back to screaming life. Starting things off, the entire dresser was pretty dirty to begin with. It needed a thorough cleaning, and Milo certainly gave it one.

As you can see in the video, he spent a long time painstakingly scrubbing the dresser down, and you could see so much of the dirt coming off little by little. Once all that was done, it was time to start moving on to primer and a satin lacquer to give it a beautiful, glossy finish.
When all of that was done, Milo went to add new golden hardware to each drawer, then made sure each drawer closed properly and everything worked the way it should. It might have taken a while, but it came out beautifully. You can see how great it all came out, and by the end of the video, it made for.a gorgeous restoration.
