There are a lot of things you can do to improve your home's curb appeal. Some things are as simple as adding a new light fixture to the front porch, others are as drastic as painting the exterior of your house a new color, like black.
One man did a simple upgrade to the exterior of his home by adding a skirting around his deck, it doesn't seem like much but it made the entire house look different, in the best way possible, and we think you may take a liking to his update, check it out!
The man behind this DIY deck upgrade is Instagram user @mordecaithebuilder. His page is quite popular with nearly 140 thousand followers and almost 100 posts. He has a complete YouTube channel where he boosts even more engagement on his content, all of which is centered around handyman work, DIYs, carpentry, and tool hacks!
Let’s face it, the man has a very nice house with a beautifully landscaped yard. He has an extremely large cascading deck off the front that is hollow below. He adds slatted siding to the entire bottom of the deck, or what some refer to as deck skirting, reaching from the top of the deck platform, to the bottom ground level.
This simple upgrade drastically changed the appearance of his home's curb appeal, and we could not be more impressed with craftsmanship that went into it!
