TikTok user @kodiakthetravelcat is an outdoor cat that likes to explore during the day while his owner is working. This cat owner uses a GPS tracking device to know where Kodiak is at all times. And one of the reasons he uses the GPS will surely blow you away.

The fact that we can now track our fur babies with GPS and our phones is amazing. We're big advocates for microchipping our pets, but tracking devices can take finding a lost pet to the next level. When shopping for a GPS device, there are essentially two types - assisted and traditional. An assisted GPS device is when you can use your cell phone to locate your pet from information that's being transmitted from the collar. These usually require subscriptions. A traditional GPS device operates through a radio transmission device that is embedded in the collar. This will work when there is no phone signal, but you must be close enough to your pet to receive the transmission.
