A trolling Doordash customer who purposefully ordered McDonald's triple-decker burger with "everything removed" was bemused after receiving a burger box with nothing in it.

He ordered McDonald’s and got jack in the box instead.

A trolling Doordash customer who ordered a McDonald’s burger with “everything removed” was impressed and amused after receiving a box with nothing in it. He described the literal nothing burger in a post with 53.3 million views on X.

“I ordered a triple cheeseburger with everything removed,” wrote the user, named Greg, in the post describing his out-of-the-box scheme. “Stay tuned to see what happens.”

An accompanying photo shows the checkout screen on Doordash, showing that he ordered a triple burger with “no ketchup,” “no pickle,” “no diced onions,” “no 1/10 Lb beef,” “no mustard,” “no regular bun,” “no American Cheese” and “no salt” (total price: $5.39).

“You’re gonna get an empty box…you good with that?” the food courier, named Dan, wrote, to which Greg replied, “Perfect, thank you.” @greg16676935420/X

“Hopefully they don’t mess up my order (usually they do),” the troll added in a follow-up post while waiting for his nothing-burger to arrive.

Thankfully, the dasher messaged Greg beforehand to let him know he was getting a package with nothing inside, per an update posted to the X thread.

Thankfully, the Golden Arches appeared to put Dan’s money where his mouth was by delivering the bupkis burger they promised.

A follow-up pic shows the burger box, which is open like a clamshell to reveal that there’s nothing inside.

The only caveat was the parcel was a McCrispy box and not a Triple Burger container like he ordered.

“Somehow they still managed to screw up my order,” fumed Greg, who gave the Golden Arches two out of five stars on the DoorDash site.

Fortunately, the jokester didn’t blame Dan for the botched order and even compensated him handsomely with a five-star review and a fat $11 tip, bringing the order total to nearly $20.

In doing so, Greg perhaps proved that you can indeed get something for nothing.

X users were amused by the stunt with one writing, “This is hilarious! Thank you for the laugh.”

“20 USD for an empty box. Crazy!!!” exclaimed another, while a third joked, “It’s the Joe Biden bag! Lmaooo.”

No word as to whether Greg devised the nothing-burger stunt as a form of social commentary on the skyrocketing cost of McDonald’s items of late.

A report last month showed that McDonald’s has jacked up its menu prices by more than 100% over the last decade — more than three times the rate of US inflation.
