For those still searching for The One, just remember that if that doesn't pan out, you can always marry a can of hard soda.

It's a charming man-meets-can love story. Indiana resident Thomas Rank married a can of Hard Mtn Dew in a not-so-lavish ceremony in Las Vegas earlier this month. Before you get a little too concerned, Food & Wine reports that Rank won the opportunity to exchange vows with a Hard Mtn Dew can as part of a contest the brand hosted in August.

The intimate wedding took place at the famed Little Vegas Chapel, and sort of like Neil Armstrong's monumental first walk on the moon, Rank referred to it as a big step for mankind.

"I married a can of Hard Mtn Dew because I listened to the radio and heard about the contest, and I realized it had to be me. It sounded like a lot of fun," Rank said in a post-wedding interview, according to Food & Wine. "My life has changed completely. I can say I am the first person ever to marry a can of Hard Mtn Dew, a can in general, and it's been a big step not only for myself, but all of mankind as well."

To make the most of the unconventional marriage, Rank receives a plush Vegas suite for two nights and three days, a celebration at a popular nightclub, $1,000 in spending money, and a custom wedding ring in the shape of a can's pull-tab.

And for those wondering, no, the marriage is not legally binding.
