A Man Kept A Big Mac As A "Pet" For Two Months

From Delish

Do you remember when you were a kid and you wanted a dog or cat, but your parents wouldn't let you get one, so you had to settle for a fish or a rock? Well Matt Crook, "30-ish," went down a more creative route when choosing his alternative to man's best friend, opting for a Big Mac instead.

In Crook's defense, he didn't actually get a Big Mac with the purpose of making it his pet; it kind of just happened. One day he picked up a Big Mac for dinner, he says, only to come home and find that his wife had already prepared dinner, so he tucked the burger in the fridge for later. Come lunchtime, however, the burger was not looking McGood, so he decided to just keep it and start a little pet project, if you will. Thus, Pet Big Mac was born.

Crook got excited about the idea of making Pet Big Mac the next Internet sensation-and started a Twitter and Facebook account for his meaty new friend, keeping Pet Big Mac under wraps until he was ready to release its glory to the world.

In the meantime, he and his friends thought of fun ways to help their newfound (invented?) friend live his best life.

Apparently Pet Big Mac enjoyed making it rain and watching TV. Basically, Pet Big Mac is all of us.

He also enjoyed the finer things in life, like some sick beats. We hope he was listening to Drake.

Unfortunately, Pet Big Mac's glorious life was short-lived. After an amazing 2 months in the care of Crook, his bun top broke and there was simply nothing vets could do.

Although Pet Big Mac never blew up on social media like Crook wanted him to, we still love that he was a thing.

Goodnight, sweet Big Mac, and may flights of Hamburglars sing thee to thy rest.
