An 18-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly left an employee of a Longhorn Steakhouse in McCandless, Penn., brutally beaten outside the restaurant on Thursday night.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the victim, Zita Tanner, was punched in the head for “nearly a minute” before the woman’s co-worker stepped in and stopped the suspect, who then fled on foot.

Taylor D. Wible was quickly tracked down by police and arrested. Upon searching Wible, officers found a set of brass knuckles, black gloves and a phone, the criminal complaint read. The complaint does not show if the brass knuckles were used during the assault.

Tanner informed police she was putting her phone into her car’s console when the assault began. Wible allegedly punched her in the head and demanded her wallet. She refused and grabbed Wible’s hood to attempt to stop him from running away. The co-worker, Jeff Harmon, witnessed the incident, exited the restaurant and chased Wible, but ultimately could not keep up.

The complaint states that Tanner was left with “many lacerations to her face and the back of her head as blood rushed down her face.” She was taken to the hospital.

Wible was found with Tanner’s cell phone after police tracked him down, as well as a bandana that Wible reportedly wore during the attack. Harmon was able to identify Wible to police.

The assailant has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and single counts of robbery, possessing instruments of crime and prohibited offensive weapon. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
