Mammoth Mountain Gets Up To 6 Inches In Last 24 Hours

If you live in Northern California, you have probably noticed the rain and snow pouring down with the latest storm.

Some areas fared better than others. Mammoth Lakes got powder, and a significant amount at that. Officials at Mammoth announced that "in the last 24 hours, we have received up to 6 inches of new snow at @mammothmountain Main Lodge!"

"We will have snowy conditions throughout Thursday, just in time for the upcoming holidays."

Today's conditions report from Mammoth explained that it is currently 29 degrees, snowing, and there is a base depth of 16 inches.

The main lodge has seen 4 inches of powder so far, with more potentially on the way. So far this season, Main Lodge has racked up 21 inches of total snowfall.

What would be rad is if this pushes more terrain to open on the mountain!

Currently, there are 52 out of a possible 176 trails open at the resort, with 12 out of 24 lifts open, and 3 out of 6 parks open.

For December, we'll take it.

Glen Plake, for one, is stoked to be out at Mammoth! Get out there and maybe you'll bump into him... or should we say, "fly" into him?
