Mama Rhinoceros Shows off Her Adorable New Baby in Irresistible Video

There's always such joy in welcoming a new baby into the world, even when that baby is an animal! Located in Baberton, South Africa, Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary is the largest rhino sanctuary in the world. They work to rescue, rehabilitate, rewild, and focus on the ongoing protection of these animals. They shared the birth of their newest baby on Facebook on Thursday, January 18th.

The video introduces us to the proud mama, Lolly, who's out in the mud with her 15-hour old baby girl. She doesn't have a name yet but seems to be healthy and happy. The sanctuary says that they're experiencing high temps and high humidity levels since it's summertime there, so even though she's not even a day old yet, mom has already taken her little one to cool off in the mud!

Lolly looked so proud and like she was looking into the camera saying, "Look at my adorable baby girl!"@Care for Wild Rhino Sanctuary says that Lolly's baby was the 11th calf born this year! They must be busy looking after all of those babies and their mamas! Commenters and fans were excited by the news. There were many comments leaving well wishes to Lolly and baby and pointing out how cute the baby is. @Nicola Robinson had my favorite comment because it summed it all up perfectly, "So many babies, how wonderful. Must be so heartwarming for all of you that your efforts are making a difference."

How To Help Care for Wild's Conservation Efforts

Did you know that rhinos are an endangered species? Having all these babies born is a really big deal for keeping the species growing and striving. Care for Wild has been protecting rhinos for more than 20 years, and they focus on helping orphaned and injured rhinos. They do such important work for these animals and our planet, and you don't have to travel to South Africa to help...although you can if you'd like! They actually have a huge international volunteer program, so if you've ever wanted to feed a baby rhino, you can check it out!

Not all of us are able to travel to live out a dream like that, but there are other things you can do to help. Of course, you can donate to their efforts, no sanctuary would turn down donations! You can adopt a rhino, which is another form of donating, but with that comes some perks like getting updates about your rhino's growth and progress, stories about what your rhino is up to, and even photos.

Other ways to help include shopping with the sanctuary's partners (they have some cool ones that support local communities), purchasing from their "Clothing for Conservation" clothing line, or making a visit to their lodge.

But if you don't have the extra cash to give to show your support, follow them on social media. Like, comment, and share their posts. Help them spread the word about how people can help. All of that makes a difference by spreading awareness. They even have a "Rhino Kids" site full of educational books, games, and videos to help your children learn more about rhinos. There are a lot of cool things there for kids (and adults!) to check out!
