Mama Raccoon's Rare Color of Babies Couldn't Possibly Be Sweeter

Only one in 10,000 raccoons are born with albinism, and one mama raccoon who has been visiting the yard of TikTok user @Defamy28 for over four years recently showed up with her new littler of babies. And all of them are white raccoons. We aren't sure if they have albinism or leucism, but they sure are beautiful.

Watch the following clip to see these amazingly rare and adorable baby raccoons.

These raccoons are so rare that wildlife experts say that the chances of seeing an albino raccoon is 1 in 750,000 — that's the same odds as getting struck by lightning! TikTok users are loving these little guys and One person comments, "I’ve been in Animal Control for 17 years, and have only seen 1 albino raccoon. This is AMAZING."

Other users are claiming these little guys aren't technically albino, but actually leucistic and the difference between leucism and albinism is that leucistic animals will still have pigmented eyes and noses whereas albino animals have red eyes and pink noses. @Fel says, "Those are leucistic! Contact people for sure, my zoo has taken in some wild leucistic raccoon babies because they don’t survive well in the wild." @Kristen adds, "Give your local wildlife management department a quick email. They may not care at all, but there may also be a biologist who will be stoked."

Here's another video of these little guys:

It especially looks like in the above video that they have pink eyes.

Regardless if they have albinism or leucism, these raccoons sure are adorable and we will be hoping for more update videos in the future!
