Mama June's Daughter Reportedly Diagnosed With Cancer
Sources say the family is 'very hopeful' following the diagnosis.
Mama June's eldest daughter, Anna "Chickadee" Cardwell, has been diagnosed with cancer.
According to a report from TMZ, the 28-year-old was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma cancer back in January. Cardwell reportedly complained about stomach aches which led to a series of tests that found cancer in her liver, kidney, and lung.
A source told the outlet that she underwent her first round of chemotherapy last month, noting that her family is "very hopeful" she will pull through following the diagnosis.
Cardwell first came into the spotlight when she appeared alongside her mother, 43, and sister, Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, 17, in TLC's Toddlers & Tiaras. Alana later got her own spinoff show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which featured appearances from Cardwell.
In addition to Cardwell and Alana, Mama June is also a mom to two other daughters, 26-year-old Jessica, and 23-year-old Lauryn.
Cardwell is also a mom of two daughters herself—10-year-old Kaitlyn, and 7-year-old Kylee. Sources told TMZ that her family has come together to help take care of Cardwell and her two children given the severity of her diagnosis.

Two days before the news of her diagnosis, Cardwell returned to Instagram for the first time since her last post was uploaded in July 2022. She initially shared a selfie on her Instagram page offering an apology for her lengthy hiatus.
"Well I ain’t posted here in a while. Your girl is back sorry for the photo dump that’s going to happen hahah I love y’all and I hope y’all hope y’all are having a good week," she wrote.
The 28-year-old then followed up with a carousel of photos of her two children goofing around with a chipmunk that they brought into the house.
"These crazy kids of my mine decided before they go to there dads house they want to give me a heart attack and catch a chipmunk and bring it in the house and wanted it as a pet 😂 and the last photo I can’t explain it’s Kaitlyn 🤣🤣 #mychildren #chipmunks #family #kids #instagram," she hilariously shared in the caption.
She has not addressed the health issues, but we're wishing Cardwell all the best.
