Just last week Malbon Golf announced its sponsorship of Jason Day, who left Nike to join the up-and-coming, streetwear-inspired brand out of Los Angeles. Shortly after, Tiger Woods made his departure from the Swoosh official, and now the reshuffling of professional golf continues with Malbon Golf revealing three more signings. LPGA pros Charley Hull and Jeongeun Lee will join the Buckets brand, as will PGA Tour emeritus Jesper Parnevik.

Each player is accomplished in their own right. Coming from England, Charley Hull is currently the 8th ranked golfer in the world and has five career wins on worldwide major tours. Jesper Parnevik for his part has cultivated a reputation as one of the game's most eccentric players over a 37 year career and spent 38 weeks inside the top 10. Finally, the Korean Jeongeun Lee, or Lee6, is a major champion and 2019's LPGA Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year.

In context of recent events, the new signings are part of an overall scaling up of Malbon Golf as a brand. Last year Malbon signed the LPGA's Yealimi Noh and launched the Malbon Women brand, opened two new stores and brought on JBL and Lexus as brand partners. Now with this greater prominence in the professional game, co-founders Stephen and Erica will look to expand its base into the golf mainstream. Now the question becomes: will another one of golf's disruptor brands poach a big name player?
