Makeup Lovers Are Losing It Over This Indie Beauty Brand’s Multi-Chrome Eye Shadows

JD Glow can't keep this new product in stock.

Chrome eye shadows can be intimidating, but they can also be a dazzling shortcut for a multicolored-lid look. Because it's a favorite finish on Instagram — after all, it's so photogenic — makeup artists and fervent beauty fans alike are always looking for the next best chrome formula, so plenty of brands are happy to accept the challenge. And this past week, one brand with which you may not be familiar launched a new shadow that's drumming up some serious buzz among impressed makeup lovers.

JD Glow, an independent cosmetics company started by two Louisiana-based friends in 2015, has been posting swatches of its new Multi-Chrome Pressed Shadow for about a week — understandably in video format to truly capture how each shade encompasses so many colors at different angles. The brand promises that each handmade shade has a built-in primer and a velvety, highly pigmented finish. But the swatches truly speak for themselves with their mesmerizing opacity and intensity.

There are five shades: Alot (which shifts between purple, pink, orange, blue, and bronze), Money Moves (shades of grass, lime, olive, mint, and dark green with gold), No Way (fuchsia, purple, green, and gold), Umm... (teal, purple, blue, pink, green, and gold), and Urgent (copper, red, fuchsia, gold, and green). And shortly after the February 26 launch, all but one of the $16 shades and the $75 bundle of all five sold out.

Not that we didn't see that coming; the comments left on JD Glow's post paint a picture of eager shoppers who can't believe their eyes and can't wait to get these shadows on them. "These are just crazy! What a pigmentation! What a shade! Love it!" one commenter wrote, echoed by another who said, "Absolutely insane, you guys are changing the makeup game! 💖." Another exclaimed, "Omg the shift!!!!!" And a huge number of the comments are simply pleas begging JD Glow to get them back in stock as soon as possible.

Although the brand has yet to announce a restock, it's hard to imagine it wouldn't comply with such a huge demand. And in the meantime, if you act fast, Money Moves is still available.
