These Makeup Looks at Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Show Were Done Entirely With Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Lipstick

Another NYFW has come to a close, and what better way to end a week of fashion, beauty and excess than with a lingerie show by the one and only Rihanna? Our perpetual #1 held her first fashion week presentation for Savage x Fenty, the lingerie brand that's as diverse and inclusive as her Fenty Beauty foundation offerings. She sent two pregnant models down the runway in BDSM-inspired lingerie. She cast models of all races and sizes. Gigi and Bella Hadid were there. And, of course, they all wore custom beauty looks designed by Rihanna herself and created solely with Fenty Beauty.

Rihanna's own makeup artist (turned global makeup artist for Fenty Beauty) Priscilla Ono and fellow Fenty global makeup artist Hector Espinal worked with Rih to create eight monochromatic beauty looks for over 50 models and dancers inspired by "the sheer colors of stained glass" and "bloody noses." You know, the normal things we look to when standing in front of the magnifying mirror every morning.

Just as impressive as the looks themselves (and they're pretty damn impressive) is the creation process. To build each monochromatic look, makeup artists used just one product on the models' eyes, lips, and cheeks. Each model's glam is based around a single shade of Fenty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick. So, yes, for less than $20, you could turn yourself into a Savage x Fenty model in the comfort of your own home. In fact, I think that's exactly what Rihanna would want.

The models wear Mattemoiselle on the eyes, lips, and cheeks, with an exaggerated contour thanks to Killawatt Highlighter and the new one-year anniversary launch Diamond Bomb Highlighter. The pasties and lace on the runway were sexy, sure. But what's really sexy? A monochromatic, highlighted-to-the-heavens beat that just so happens to match your lingerie. We've said it before and we'll say it again: Damn, Rihanna.
