Makeup Artist Jeffree Star Is Launching His Own Metallic Liquid Lipsticks Line

Makeup artist Jeffree Star, who made headlines last week after pointing out that Kylie Jenner’s lip gloss wands were frayed right out of the package (Jenner has since reportedly fixed the issue), is making headlines himself. The beauty influencer recently announced to his more than 2 million followers on Instagram that he’s launching his own line of Velour Liquid Lipsticks.
“[I was] inspired by seeing my mother wear metallic lipsticks every day in the ’90s,” he wrote. “I created a liquid lip version with my coveted Velour formula.”

Based on the success of Star’s original lipstick line — fans have been known to buy out his new lip products in 20 minutes flat — the metallic version should fly off the shelves. “Liquid lipstick junkies know that Jeffree Star’s Velour Liquid Lipsticks are basically the pinnacle of cool, under-the-radar yet still somehow cult-favorite products,” noted the Gloss. The shiny new lipstick line is set to launch in July with more colors.
