Who makes Tuscaloosa's best chocolate dish? See the 2024 Death by Chocolate winners

Death by Chocolate, a sweet competition between local bakers and chefs to find Tuscaloosa's best chocolate dishes, returned Thursday to the Tuscaloosa River Market.

Attendees were able to taste various chocolate delicacies from West Alabama restaurants and caterers.

Proceeds from Death by Chocolate will help Family Counseling Service of West Alabama provide counseling services to children, teens and families.

  • Southern Ale House, 1530 McFarland N Blvd.

  • Nothing Bundt Cakes, 1395 McFarland Blvd. E

  • Tuscaloosa City Schools Hospitality Academy from the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy

  • Peterbrooke Chocolatier, 1530 McFarland N Blvd. Suite C

  • The Wine Market, 515 Greensboro Ave.

  • The Alamite Tuscaloosa, 2321 Sixth St.

  • Sweet Dreamz Delivered, 1701 McFarland Blvd. E. Suite 192

  • The Cookie Boutique and Bakery, www.thecookieboutiqueandbakery.com

  • Madeleine's Ice Cream Chocolates

  • Poppin' Sisters Popcorn and Treats, www.poppinsisterspopcorn.com

People were also able to cast votes for their favorite chocolate dish, while professional chefs judged the "Chef's Choice" category.
