ALICIN WILLIAMSON: To be a MAKER, one must first be inspired. We also need information. We need a process, and most of all, we need a community. Welcome to this community.

[CROWD CHEERING]

TOBIN HEATH: When we won our second World Cup in 2019 to the reverberating echoing chants of equal pay was when I realized that the greatest part about women's sports is women.

J. SMITH-CAMERON: Tonight has made me cry over and over again. The company I'm in tonight--

JA'NAY HAWKINS: We salute all of the MAKERS at Morgan Stanley who have led by example, inspired other leaders and companies to do the same.

JUDY WAXMAN: I feel so honored to be honored by this fabulous group of committed women.

BETHANN HARDISON: What does that mean, MAKERS? Just tonight, watching this, I understood that you're here to make things different.

JENNIFER SIEBEL NEWSOM: I can't think of a better way to spend an evening than in community with such brilliant women and our allies as we show our gratitude and love for some of the greatest change makers and rebel rousers of this generation.

JOANNA BARSH: You know what we're going to make? Trouble.

- So if you haven't detected already, this is not your typical conference.

BOZOMA SAINT JOHN: Again, this is an honest conversation.

DANY GARCIA: There became a moment, where I recognized, if I walk into a room and I am not seeking validation, I am immediately in a position of power for myself.

GRETCHEN CARLSON: I can't tell my own story. That is why we fight so hard to make sure that all of you can own your own stories.

ALEXIS MCGILL JOHNSON: We know the fight for agency, and we are going to have a conversation around fighting, today, and what we need to do to fight back.

NADYA OKAMOTO: The last time I was on the MAKERS stage in 2019, the tampon tax was 35 states, and now, we're in 20 states. So we're making progress, but we have 20 states to go.

KAREN PITTMAN: Hair discrimination is race discrimination. It's the same thing.

DR. ELLA BELL: Stay tuned. We're going to make some good trouble.

- Leslie Jones!

LESLIE JONES: Every day, they're going to tell you, you're a woman, because you can't do it. They're going to tell you, you're Black, because you can't do it. Do not let them tell you that. Because if you work hard and do what you're supposed to do, you're going to be undeniable.

GWYNETH PALTROW: I love women. I think women should rule the world.

- It is time to commit to making the future now.
