Maisie Williams Plans to Keep Her Jacket From "Game of Thrones"

Arya Stark lives on forever.

The last season of Game of Thrones recently finished filming, which means that while we still have more episodes to look forward to, the cast has had to say a tearful farewell to the show. But that doesn't mean they've forgotten about their characters.

On the Radio 1 Breakfast Show, Maisie Williams said she plans to keep an important piece of Arya Stark's wardrobe: the brown "doublet jacket" that makes her look just like her on-screen late father, Ned. She's arranged for a costumer from the show to mail it to her, so she can keep a piece of Arya with her forever. "I can imagine [the jacket] being something that I’m like, 'Oh, I was on this show once upon a time and this was the jacket I wore,' Maisie explained, adding: "And my grandkids being like, 'Please stop.'"

But that's not the only piece of her character that the actor has brought off the set. When she left, she "didn’t take anything other than a lot of dirt in my hair and under my fingernails," she joked.

This wouldn't be the first time that Maisie got a little sentimental about Game of Thrones with clothing. Earlier this summer, the actor shared a picture of blood-stained sneakers on Instagram, writing: "Goodbye Belfast. Goodbye Arya. Goodbye Game of Thrones. What a joy I’ve had. Here’s to the adventures to come."

No doubt, fans will be just as sad after the season finale airs in early 2019. Still, it's comforting to know the characters will remain in the actors' hearts — and, in Maisie's case, their closets.
