The actress portrays Susie Myerson on the hit series.

With Susie Myerson in her rearview mirror, Alex Borstein is changing up her look—and just in time for spring.

As the cast of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel hit the red carpet one last time to promote their fifth and final season, Borstein hung up her signature newsboy hat and debuted a fiery copper color instead.

Gone were the dark locks she’s typically known for, marking the start of a new era in her career.

The 52-year-old styled her new ‘do in loose curls, adding some flirty flair with a black sequin gown that featured a mesh sheer top across her shoulders and colorful flowers throughout.

She opted for black nails to match the gown, giving the overall look a pop of color with a peachy lipstick that complimented her new hair.

While she mostly struck some innocent poses, she channeled her famous character—the blunt and fast-talking agent who represents Midge—in a few photos that showed her holding up two middle fingers.

The mom-of-two—whose also known for voicing Lois Griffin on Family Guy—posed with her beloved cast and crew members of the Amazon Prime Video series, cuddling up the most to her costar and partner-in-crime, Rachel Brosnahan, who portrays the titular character and housewife-turned-budding-standup-comic, Miriam “Midge” Maisel.

The duo has been making TV magic together for five seasons since the show’s inception in 2017, and it seems as though Borstein still sees plenty of potential in the series, as she revealed that she’d be interested in giving it a Broadway musical adaptation, which is in line with the handful of musical numbers featured in the series.

"I've told [executive producers] Amy [Sherman-Palladino] and Dan [Palladino], 'If you guys do a Maisel musical, I'm there in a heartbeat,'" she explained to EW.

"If they were to do The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Broadway, I would jump at the chance. The show itself without a stitch of music feels like a musical. Every time Midge gets up and does stand-up, it's almost like a musical number. It's like breaking away for a moment but instead of song, it's comedy. It really feels like it has the shape of that in its bones,” she added.

Brosnahan weighed in, suggesting that Laura Benanti would have to take on the role of Midge because she “can’t sing,” which prompted Borstein to quip back—in true Susie style—“You can sing. I've heard you sing."

"I can sing a little bit," Brosnahan agreed, emphasizing. "But not enough to sing Mrs. Maisel the musical."

As for who would step into Borstein's shoes if she wasn’t available, she noted, “That's easy. Danny DeVito," jokingly adding, "I mean, the wardrobe's gonna fit."

The final 10 episodes of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel premiere Friday, April 14, 2023, and roll out on a weekly basis.
