Maine Coon Kitten's Tiny Temper Tantrum Is Full of Pure Comedy

There is one time and one time only when you don't want to disappoint your kitten — dinnertime. Yep, cats are sort of well-known for getting antsy when their food is late. And you definitely don't want to cross one Maine Coon Cat kitten, who was getting way too hangry waiting for his owners to pony up his food.

The baby wanted their dinner. And they weren't afraid to cause a scene to get it.

In fact, the kitty was chomping at the bit to get served his meal. As a video from his owner @oneladymanycats shows, he was pawing at his mama's oven and crying his eyes out to get served his food. Feed me! Feeeed me! he seemed to cry. At one point a larger cat enters the frame and the kitten turns to them hoping that they'd help him get some food.

"Baby Maine Coon Cat throws a tantrum," the video's onscreen caption reads. That's an understatement!

Commenters were cracking up. "He's got big plans and can't wait on the food any longer," one person joked. "Same, little dude. Same," another commenter teased. "How dare you not having the food on the ground instantly!" a third person added.

How Fast Do Maine Coon Kittens Grow?

Obviously this little one is teeny tiny. But one day he'll be a full-grown cat. There are several stages that a Maine Coon Cat goes through as it grows. The first is kitten-hood (like this guy) which can last for several months of their life. At this stage, kittens will play hard and go until they fall asleep. They're rough and tumble cats!

Around seven months, they'll go through a "teenage" phase — which doesn't mean they'll listen to rock music and refuse to clean their rooms. They'll be a bit more standoffish and independent at that age. They probably won't want to be held. The teenage phase usually lasts until the kittens are about 1 and a half years old.

But don't worry, they'll come back to you. As the Maine Coon Cats keep growing they'll become more and more affectionate. Maine Coons reach full maturity at about 4 to 5 years old. Once they're mature they'll pretty much never leave you alone. You'll probably be reminiscing about the time when they were "teenager"— but that's all a part of a Maine Coon Cat's charm. They're super affectionate, human-loving kitties. And if you give them time, they'll grow up to be your best furry friend for life.
