Maine Coon Cat's Not-So-Subtle Way of Begging for Dinner Is So On-Point

When I've been eating meals at a routine time every day, it can be easy to get used to the new schedule. For our pets--it's even easier! Dogs and cats are creatures of habit, and they often get used to eating at the same time every day. Even so, waiting for dinner just isn't going to cut it some days.

This confident Maine Coon cat knows precisely what I mean. She smelled her mom's delicious cooking on the stove and couldn't help going in for a closer look. I'd like to think that she would've tried to hop on the counter if she hadn't been caught in the act!

LMAO! This curious cat was just trying to pay her mama a compliment by showing interest in her meal--she was totally innocent! She only looked like she was sneaking a peek at the stove because of her large size, right?

No matter how innocent this Maine Coon looks, though, her observant mom knows exactly what's up. Pet parents grow an extra set of eyes in the back of their head when they bring home an animal, so pretty much everyone can relate.

Commenter @revshae admitted, "both of my Maine Coon boys do this," so he knows exactly how it feels, too. Cats can be so quiet and stealthy! Nearly every pet owner learns the hard way that you can never truly let down your guard if you have a food-motivated fur baby.

This gorgeous gray cat has a history of using things that aren't hers, so it's easy to see why her mom would be concerned about the food on the stove. Recently, she even helped herself to her canine sibling's water bowl! The kitty's mama, @bree_wes, has posted several of her feline's famous antics to her TikTok page, and we have a feeling it won't be the last time, either.
