Magnolia's New Plant Care Workshop Will Give You a Green Thumb

Houseplant novices and DIY lovers alike might want to sit down for this one: Magnolia Network is dropping three new workshops this Friday, October 29. The expert-led courses will help you with everything from ensuring your indoor plants thrive to crafting fall-themed decor inspired by Magnolia's own extravagant displays.

The courses—which are part of Magnolia Workshops, a collection of video-based series that are available in a self-paced format—include Caring for Common Houseplants taught by plant specialist Hilton Carter. As the name suggests, viewers will learn how to meet the needs of most common indoor plants—from potting and fertilizing to light and water. In Handcrafted Home Projects, meanwhile, DIY expert Jenni Yolo guides viewers through how to make a variety of crafts, including hand painting a wallpaper effect and making a leather strap headboard. If you’re obsessed with Magnolia’s seasonal installations, you can learn how to make decor for your home inspired by them in Fall DIYs with Magnolia. The course is taught by the Magnolia display team itself and includes crafts like a dried autumn wreath, natural dyed table runner, and pressed flower art.

All of the new courses will be available for discovery+ subscribers on the Magnolia app, where the network's other courses are still available—including Carter’s first Magnolia Workshops series Guide to Houseplants if you want to refine your plant parent skills even more. Happy learning!
