Magliano and U-Power Reunite for Spring 2024 With New Work Shoe Collaboration

The Magliano and U-Power collaboration continues. Following a successful debut last fall, the Italian fashion house and the workwear brand are back with more for spring 2024.

Once again, Luca Magliano has added his touch to the U-Power Scandy, a long-time staple for workers. The spring 2024 collection also includes fresh takes on two other popular models from the safety clothing supplier, the Fit and the Latitude.

The Scandy ($587) comes in a “Mixed Black” colorway while the slip-on Fit ($511) features a beige upper crafted from 100% brushed calf leather. The lace-up Latitude ankle boot ($697) is rendered in a similar sandy hue, with additional red detailing throughout.
“The collection continues a collaboration grounded in ideas of re-imagined workwear and subdued romanticism by employing the aesthetics of an artistic and cultural movement that characterized times of limitations for personal and political liberation,” a press release reads.

Warsaw-based artist duo Daughter of Lama created a massive sculpture for the partnership that is highlighted in the campaign. The enormous work of art takes inspiration from
the artistic legacy of Socialist Realism, or Socrealism.

Luca Magliano founded his Bolonga-based fashion brand in 2017 and it made its runway debut at Pitto Uomo in 2018. The brand regularly shows at Milan Fashion Week and was awarded the LVMH Karl Lagerfeld prize in 2023.
As for U-Power, it is a part of the U-Power Group, which serves as one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of safety footwear. Entrepreneur Franco Uzzeni took over the company founded by his father in 1950. U-Power has tapped big names like Gerard Butler and John Travolta to star in campaigns and promote the brand as it continues to expand into the fashion sphere.
