The perfect white shirt is here and not only is it crisp and perfect for work—it repels red wine, coffee, ketchup, soda and even salad dressing.
Chico’s new “No-Stain No-Iron Shirt” is a crisp button-up shirt available in classic white and six other colors, which all use the brand’s Stain Shield Technology. The fabric is designed so that it repels water and any other oil-based liquids — such as red wine and coffee.
How many times have you been in a situation where you spilled a droplet of coffee in the morning or wine during dinner and felt immediately defeated? In the past, this usually ended in a trip to the dry cleaner or using bleach in your routine wash. Not anymore. Now, you can quickly wipe away the stain with a splash of water as if nothing ever happened. A few words of advice: do not add pressure or rub the stain (this may worsen it) just flush it with water and it will come right off and dab lightly. The shirt’s brilliant stain shield technology will last you up to 30 washes.
After testing the shirt myself, it exceeded all my expectations. After “spilling” a glass of red wine on myself, I noticed how the wine would bubble up on top of the shirt. After a few wipes, the wine vanished.

Now, watch the red wine stains disappear before your eyes:
My one critique is that I don’t entirely agree with the shirt’s “no ironing needed” claim. If you pack the shirt inside your bag even after ironing or steaming (as I did), there were noticeable wrinkles when pulling it out to wear.
However, overall, the stain repellant technology is a clear winner in my book. I love that the shirt is made of a thick fabric too so that it helps keep its shape all day. I can easily dress it up with a pair of black trousers and heels for work or dress it down with blue jeans and flats for the weekend. A classic white shirt is already a wardrobe essential—now new, improved and better than ever.
