Synchronous fireflies won't be the only things lighting up the Tennessee skies this summer.

This week, Anakeesta announced a brand-new, nighttime immersive experience described as a "stellar journey of discovery." The first of its kind in the United States, the Lumina Night Walk will take guests on a journey to discover the wonder of the stars through projections, lighting, and music.

"Anakeesta's continued investment with the Lumina Night Walk will give Gatlinburg visitors an exciting and innovative entertainment option in the evening," Gatlinburg Mayor Mike Werner said in a statement. "This experience will continue to add to the many reasons that visitors will have to choose Gatlinburg as their vacation destination."

According to a news release, Canadian-based multimedia entertainment studio, Moment Factory, will transform an undeveloped section of the 80+ acre Gatlinburg theme park into an outdoor, multimedia world that promises to "awaken the imagination."

"We are excited to collaborate with Anakeesta, this momentous partnership marks the first Lumina Enchanted Night Walk in the United States and the 15th of an international series," Jonathan St-Onge, General Manager of Moment Factory, said in a statement. "Our unique moments of wonder inspire visitors to experience the outdoors like never before. This transformation will enhance the natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains and reflect the dazzling night sky. We hope this fantastical outdoor adventure sparks a new interest in Tennessee for visitors."

Details including the name and theme of the Lumina Night Walk, ticket sale dates, annual member sneak previews, and more will be released in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned, y'all!
