Maggie Rogers Gives a Behind the Scenes Look of Her Met Gala Prep

Musician Maggie Rogers gives Teen Vogue an exclusive behind the scenes look of her Met Gala 2019 look. For her Met Gala debut, she’s stepped out in a neutral-hued Coach Pre-fall 2019 dress, topped with a variety of stone colored embroidery. In terms of getting ready for the Gala, she said, "For me, it’s all about the vibe. Good friends and good music keep it fun and chill. We sang along to Aretha and Patsy Cline and I even got some cute puppy love!"

“The starting point for Maggie’s look was a dress from our Pre Fall 2019 collection. It’s a floor-sweeping georgette gown with crystals at the neckline, and pave embroidery running vertically from waist to floor. I wanted it to have a vintage feel, which came through in the handkerchief chiffon sleeves and suede belt with our Horse and Carriage buckle," said Stuart Vevers, Creative Director, Coach

Speaking on the Met Gala's 2019 theme of Camp, she said Camp is "Playful and powerful. A fun and fearless extreme version of yourself where there’s no rules and it’s all about having fun. Also... I wanted to have really big hair!"
