Madonna has collaborated with some of the biggest artists on the planet, but there’s still some left on her bucket list.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote her new album of record-breaking hits, Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones, the icon explained that there’s one rapper she would love to collaborate with.

Having previously teamed with artists from a variety of genres—including Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Nile Rodgers, and Maluma—the 63-year-old revealed that she wants to work with Kendrick Lamar.

“I mean, there's one artist that I worship more than anything and I would love to collaborate with him, that's Kendrick Lamar,” she said.

She added: “His new record is history making … mind bogglingly brilliant. It's insane.”

Lamar—who has 14 Grammys under his belt—returned from a lengthy hiatus with his fifth studio album, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, on May 13, 2022.

In addition to sharing the stage with legends Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige and Anderson .Paak at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, he also headlined England's Glastonbury Festival in June.

While he hasn’t addressed Madonna’s desire to collaborate just yet, we have no doubt that these two musical geniuses would create sheer magic together if it were to happen.

In the same interview, Madonna also told the late night host that one performance in 1984 almost jeopardized her career before it even had a chance to take off.

The singer recalled her reps backstage being convinced her career was “over with” after the revealing incident. “It wasn’t even the whole butt! It was like a butt cheek—like half of a butt cheek,” she assured the audience.
