Madonna has been very busy these days. With the release of her MDNA skin care line, her recent move to Lisbon, Portugal, and new music and a new movie in the works, the 59-year-old Queen of Pop has been nonstop. But when she does get a chance to sit back and relax, something she says she hardly ever does, she heads for the freezer for a futuristic-looking beauty tool that she calls on to help treat and sculpt her aging skin.

When asked by Vogue how she would spend a full day without any responsibilities, the singer said: “Well, I would wake up and put my eye mask on. I would lay there for a little while and take the rose mist spray—I wouldn’t get out of bed—and then use my Cryo-Sticks, which I store in the freezer.”

Upon first glance, Biologique Recherche Cryo-Sticks ($110) bring to mind the old household remedy of putting a cold spoon on a bruise to reduce swelling, pain and discoloration. These stainless steel, beefed-up versions of a cold spoon serve a similar function as they're said to decrease inflammation and limit vasodilation (dilation of blood vessels) which reduces redness in the skin. When stored in the freezer or on ice, the Cryo-Sticks stock up on thermal energy which ensures the spread of cold when placed on targeted areas. Their ergonomic shape allow them to rest comfortably on the different contours of the face, making them an innovative, easy to use beauty tool. The always trendsetting singer hits another high mark with these innovative Cryo-Sticks—now we want them, too!
