Dakota Johnson may be starring in Madame Web, but that hasn’t stopped her poking fun at the film.

During her appearance on comedy show Saturday Night Live, the actress, who stars in Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man spinoff, joked that it’s like “if AI created your boyfriend's favourite movie."

With Madame Web’s trailers underwhelming fans, it seems like even the actors aren’t feeling the film.

Previously, she told Entertainment Weekly the filming experience was “psychotic.”

"I’ve never really done a movie where you are on a blue screen, and there’s fake explosions going off, and someone’s going, 'Explosion!' and you act like there’s an explosion. That to me was absolutely psychotic.

It wouldn’t be the first SonyVerse movie to receive ridicule. 2022’s Morbius was memed mercilessly, while 2024’s upcoming Kraven The Hunter doesn’t look much better.

Here’s Johnson’s SNL monologue in full. Speaking of the film, though, here's the rumor Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man was axed from Madame Web.
