Mackenzie and Maddie Ziegler Danced to Sia During "Dancing With the Stars: Juniors"

Former Dance Moms stars Maddie Ziegler and younger sister Mackenzie Ziegler, both got the dancing gene, but they don't often get to dance together. Luckily, Dancing With the Stars: Juniors, on which Kenzie is currently competing, accomplished that feat by bringing the sisters onto the same stage to perform a song by none other than Sia.

In the newest episode of the show, Kenzie and her partner Sage Rosen hit the dance floor to perform a high-octane samba to Sia's "Cheap Thrills." You may remember that Sia chose Maddie to star in several of her music videos, including “Chandelier,” and that those videos quickly went viral. But the biggest surprise wasn’t their choice of song. It was Maddie herself, showing up to partner with them! (Maddie starred in the “Cheap Thrills” video with Sia back in 2016.)

About a minute into the routine, Maddie joined her sister and Sage on the dance floor, wearing the same pink dress and high bun as Kenzie. The audience was understandably thrilled about her cameo, and Sage looked pretty happy to be dancing with both of the incredibly talented Ziegler sisters. The routine ended with a double one-handed cartwheel from Maddie and Kenzie. To us, this routine was absolute perfection.

The two sisters are obviously close, and it definitely seems like Kenzie’s choice of song was to honor her big sister, who returned the favor by making a cameo appearance on DTWS : Juniors. We haven’t gotten to see the Ziegler sisters dance together since their Dance Moms days, and honestly, we’re ready for them to take their sister dance routines on the road. Is a Ziegler sister dance tour in their future? We hope so.
