MAC Cosmetics Releases Disney "Aladdin" Collection

If you have an inner Princess Jasmine just waiting for a chance to shine, you're in luck. MAC Cosmetics's highly-anticipated Aladdin line is finally available for purchase, and it's everything we've wished for — and then some.
With an emphasis on "smoky metallics" and "desert shades," the 13-piece collection contains a variety of lip products, blushes, an eye palette, and bold defining liner, all of which can be purchased together in a "collector's vault" for $310. (Anyone know a cave where I can search for gold to afford that? Let me know if so.)
Each item in the collection is aptly named for the classic Disney movie, like the gold-toned Lipglass called "Diamond in the Rough," or the glistening Powder Blush dubbed "Your Wish Is My Command." MAC's shining and shimmering line is just "one jump ahead" of the upcoming live-action film, which hits theaters on May 24. Get ready beauty lovers, MAC Cosmetics is about to take you to “a whole new world” with their upcoming Disney Aladdin Collection. The brand announced the magical collab on Instagram, which is launching this May — just in time for the live-action film to hit theaters on the 24th.
“This wish-fulfilling collaboration highlights the self-determination and confidence of Princess Jasmine,” reads MAC’s description of the line, which includes an eyeshadow palette, a lipstick, and a bronzer all in jewel and metallic tones — just like Jasmine’s style. The palette contains nine shades ranging in hues from a baby matte pink to a shimmering deep magenta, while the lipstick is a bright fuchsia that would definitely pair nicely with Princess Jasmine’s signature turquoise outfit. And while we can’t promise that the bronzer comes with your very own genie, it does have the iconic magic lamp embossed right on top…so it’s always a possibility.
Diehard MAC fans will know that this isn’t the first time the beauty brand has linked up with Disney to create makeup straight out of a fairy tale. In 2015, MAC released their Cinderella collection, which included several pink lip products as well as a variety of eye glosses. As noted by Refinery29, MAC also once had a Disney villains line, featuring a number of iconic characters including Cruella De Vil and Maleficent.
