I’ll admit, I’m a last-minute shopper when it comes to gifts, so if you’re like me, take this as your reminder that Mother’s Day is less than two weeks away. I usually have a hard time deciding what to gift my mom, but this year the decision was relatively easy. I don’t typically purchase clothes let alone shoes for my mom because (no offense) she’s super picky and hard to shop for. I’m confident that she’ll be as pleasantly surprised by this comfy shoe brand as I was. Plus, Helen Mirren often wears this exact pair for special events and beyond, so they must be good, right? The British actress was spotted wearing the green shade at the 74th annual Cannes Film Festival in France.

The shoes are made using natural materials that are ethically sourced as well as recycled plastic bottles. They’re meant to feel like you’re “walking barefoot in the grass,” according to the brand. My favorite part is the memory foam insole that allows me to walk in them for hours on end pain-free. Better yet, they don’t require a break-in period and feel just as good as my year-old sneakers.
I usually wear a US women’s size 7, but needed to go up a half-size with these shoes to give myself a little extra toe room. I recommend doing this if you’re in-between sizes or like to wear thick socks.
