I’m a self-proclaimed sweater connoisseur — especially when the temperature drops below 50 degrees. I’ve been curating my collection of extra cozy and buttery-soft pullover sweaters for years, and there are a few things I look for when adding to my capsule. I prefer them to be roomy to prevent me from overheating, and so I can layer underneath them on cooler days. The fabric needs to be thick and soft — no one wants to wear a flimsy and itchy sweater. And lastly, they need to be unique. As a former fashion designer who used to design sweaters, it can be difficult to reinvent the wheel when it comes to a wardrobe essential. However, the details I look for when I’m in the market for a new sweater are silhouette, color, texture, and pattern.
