While we’re only 11 days into the month of May, Netflix has already provided us with a variety of prime content. However, with 20 days left to go, there’s a ton of new TV shows and movies still on the way. The one I’m most excited about? Ryan Murphy’s Halston—for a variety of reasons.

First, as I mentioned, the limited series is the latest project with the streaming platform from Murphy (the creative genius behind American Horror Story and Glee). And since AHS is one of my all-time favorite shows, any project of Murphy’s has priority on my must-watch list. In addition, the show stars the one-and-only Ewan McGregor. (I’ll be honest, I’ve had a major crush on him since his Obi Wan Kenobi days.) And, finally, Halston is the untold story of the rise and fall of the first American celebrity fashion designer: Roy Halston Frowick. While I’m no fashion expert, I’m definitely excited to learn more.

And by the looks of the trailer, the series is all about glamour, drama and high fashion.

Netflix’s official synopsis reads, “The limited series follows the legendary fashion designer as he leverages his single, invented name into a worldwide fashion empire that’s synonymous with luxury, sex, status and fame, literally defining the era he lives in, 1970’s and ‘80’s New York—until a hostile takeover forces him to battle for control of his most precious asset…the name Halston itself. ”

In addition to McGregor, the mini-series also stars Rory Culkin (Scream 4), Rebecca Dayan (Limitless), Sullivan Jones (Parks and Rec), Mary Beth Peil (Mirrors) and Gian Franco Rodriguez (Safe).

Luckily, we don’t have to wait much longer because the drama is set to be released on Friday, May 14.
