‘I’m Dying Inside!' Gerry Cries at Most-Shocking Rose Ceremony of ‘Golden Bachelor’ Season

Gerry Turner

Gerry Turner was full of optimism for hometown visits with his final three ladies Theresa Nist, Faith Martin and Leslie Fhima on tonight’s episode 6 of The Golden Bachelor.

While his feelings for all three were strong, “I only want to say I love you to one more person in my lifetime,” the widower, 72, told cameras.

He reflected how these would be his first home visits since he’d met his late wife Toni’s family in 1968. As fans know, Gerry was with Toni for 43 years before her tragic death in 2017.

After joyfully meeting his final three contestants’ loved ones, however, Gerry was faced with a painful rose ceremony in which he had to eliminate one woman.

The former restaurant owner broke down sobbing over having to select his final two.

What happened on Theresa’s hometown visit?

Gerry traveled to Shrewsbury, New Jersey, where Theresa’s daughter Jen, her husband, and two sisters greeted them.

Theresa, 70, told Gerry she hadn’t introduced anyone to family since her husband died.

Jen told cameras they seemed smitten and added about her widower mom, “She would love to get married again. I’m really hopeful.”

The daughter interrogated Gerry in a private chat, asking what he liked about Theresa.

“How she looks at me,” Gerry replied. “She’s always leaning in, listening.”

Jen was concerned about the living arrangements because Gerry is from Indiana. Theresa’s daughter noted that she visited her every day.

When Jen asked Gerry if he was in love with her mother, Gerry said, “That's such a hard question. I'm not sure I even know what it feels like to fall in love again... and I don’t know right now.”

But Theresa told Jen definitively, “I’m falling in love with him.”

Crying, Jen said they weren’t replacing the spouses they had because “you can’t.”

“I would be proud to be part of this family,” Gerry told cameras.

Later, at a Seaside Heights amusement park, Theresa told Gerry she loved him but he didn’t return the sentiment, just responding, “That makes me feel so special.”

How did Faith’s hometown visit go?

Horse enthusiast Faith, 61, had Gerry take a horseback ride with her and worried her rural lifestyle might not fit his lifestyle. But the sexy senior said he was comfortable.

Singer Faith, who previously told Gerry she hadn’t experienced a happy childhood and was at one point “a homeless teen,” introduced him to her two sons and sister Beth in Benton City, Washington.

Beth told Faith it seemed like Gerry made her feel safe, and she said she’d leave with him in a heartbeat, but that her sons and family were very important to her.

Son Brenden asked Gerry, “Are you in love?” and Gerry replied, “Yeah. I kind of think I am.”

He confided in her sons that the whole process was not easy.

"You can't make logic out of it so you just have to go through the process and trust that you come out the other side with the right person," Gerry said. "I look at this thing as a huge responsibility."

Faith’s sister quizzed Gerry about whether her sister's heart was safe with him.

Gerry answered with a non-answer, "There's some miles I have to put in."

“Faith brings peace to me,” he said.

Beth cried to Gerry that Faith was trusting.

I think Gerry brings his whole heart to what he's doing, and I think he is honest and authentic," Beth said.

Soon, Faith whispered to Gerry, “I love you” and he said, “I love you, too.”

He also told the cameras, “I had to say the words.”But Faith felt she didn’t know how things would turn out.

Did Gerry and Leslie connect in her hometown?

Former Prince girlfriend Leslie welcomed Gerry to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where her brother Stuart, daughter Chloe, son Eli, son Zack, and grandchildren waited.

But first, Leslie confided in Gerry that when she was 16, her dad dropped her off at school but never returned to pick her up. Her brother Stuart arrived and told her their father had suddenly died, and he would now be her dad.

At the hometown visit, Leslie admitted to her daughter that she was worried about getting her heart broken.

“He is different from what I would normally pick,” said Leslie, who earlier revealed on the show that she’d been cheated on many times.

Stuart sighed to the Golden Bachelor of his divorcee sister, “I’d hate to see her hurt again.”

Still, he gave Gerry his blessing.

Later, Leslie said she wasn’t only falling, “I AM in love with you,” she told Gerry.

“Leslie, I love you,” he said, kissing and hugging her.

She said in confessional, “Now that he said it back, I’m ecstatic.”

At the end of the hometown dates, Gerry told cameras he didn’t expect to fall in love “with more than one person…I’m very confused.”

Who went home tonight on The Golden Bachelor?

The Golden Bachelor was deeply conflicted as he needed to select his final two.

“I’m in love with three women,” he told cameras while getting ready for the rose ceremony that would change his life. “I’m in an impossible situation.”

With only two roses to give, Gerry awarded the first one to Leslie.

He picked up but then set the final rose back down, and left the room in tears, with Theresa and Faith standing there in shock.

“F----!” Gerry raged, leaning over in emotional pain. “I feel like I’m going to throw up.”

Crying Gerry thought both of the two remaining women could be his life partner.

“S---! I’m dying inside,” he said.

The episode ended in a cliffhanger, with the last rose still on the table and Gerry’s decision in doubt.
